VTEX Romania is a provider of eCommerce solutions, part of the global VTEX group, and organizer of European Digital Commerce (read more about the event and the data we presented as speakers).

The company wanted an in-depth understanding of the local eCommerce market, to identify the challenges and trends imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the marketing tools used to overcome these challenges. In this sense, the company mandated MKOR to carry out a study on the local eCommerce market.

Technologies and solutions implemented by Romanian e-businesses

This study aimed to identify the main solutions and technologies that eCommerce companies are implementing to develop and promote their online presence, as a result of the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To obtain such data, we applied a mix of research tools, the online questionnaire (CAWI) and the telephone questionnaire (CATI), to collect data directly from the source: representatives of eCommerce companies in Romania.

The information thus obtained facilitated the outline of the eCommerce market characteristics, as well as the profile of local e-businesses.

We displayed the data in an interactive Business Intelligence dashboard, which allows filtering e-businesses in the country according to different criteria, providing detailed insights for the relevant segments.

  • Identifying the marketing tools used in promoting online stores
