Registrul Constructorilor, an online construction review platform, wanted to explore consumer behaviors and attitudes about services accessed in this area.

In this regard, they asked us to conduct a research that would uncover general habits of Romanians in terms of real estate investments, construction and landscaping, and to test the potential use of the platform and the facilities offered to its users.

Research for a new evaluation platform for construction service providers

In order to better understand the perspective of consumers, we collected information directly from the source, through an online opinion poll (CAWI).

Data was subsequently statistically processed and helped us understand consumers’ behavior regarding property acquisitions and home improvement projects. In addition, we explored the openness of consumers to evaluation platforms of construction service providers, identifying the main expectations regarding the platform.

Research Objectives

Within this project, the research objectives aimed at:

  • Real Estate investment habits (purchased properties, allocated budgets, planned acquisitions)
  • Housing planning habits (projects carried out vs. planned, arranged spaces, allocated budgets, suppliers)
  • Positioning of the main evaluation platforms of construction service providers
  • The potential of using a review platform
  • Identifying the profile of potential users of construction service provider evaluation platforms

About the Research

For this project we carried out a quantitative study, with the help of MKOR’s Consumer Panel:

  • Research tool: online opinion poll (CAWI)
  • Sample: national, representative by gender, age and geographical distribution
