Every year, the Market Opportunity Research agency, MKOR Consulting, conducts a series of its own market studies. The selected topics vary, as we seek to discover interesting insights about current themes of interest, as well as to understand or explore specific markets in depth.
This is how the idea for an ambitious and beautiful project was born at the beginning of 2017. We aimed to identify those brands that successfully represent Romania abroad, which Wall-Street was to award during the annual Wall-Street Gala at the end of 2017.

Then came the real challenge: finding the category of respondents from around the world who could provide the best insights into Romania’s Ambassador Brands. Thus, we focused on the Romanian diaspora, which is so well represented on every continent.
What do we mean by “Ambassador Brands”?
In attempting to define what “ambassador brands” mean, we settled on two categories:
- Romanian personalities recognized abroad: whether cultural, historical, representatives of the arts or science, or business people;
- Romanian brands that have managed to become visible outside the country.
We were pleased to find brands with tradition and history on the list of winners—brands that have managed to overcome the challenges of recent decades, transforming and reinventing themselves without forgetting the mission they carry forward: that of being ambassadors for Romania.
