Wednesday, October 24, 2018, we will present the results of the Preference for Romanian Products study at Retail Arena, during the Made in RO Retail panel.
Following the presentation of the study results by Corina Cimpoca, founder of MKOR Consulting, a debate will take place at the same table featuring Petre Daea (Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development), Liviu Ungureanu (Dacia Plant), Alexandru Rusu (Doraly), Valer Hancas (Kaufland), Adina Craciunescu (Diana Supermarket), Catalin Samara (Carrefour), Cornel Caramizaru (Friesland Campina), and Mihai Bonca (Brand Architects).
The theme of the debate will aim to identify the challenges retailers face in a market dominated by imports, as well as the strategies and tactics for being as present as possible on supermarket shelves. In this context, Corina will exclusively present the results of the study regarding consumer preference for Romanian products.
Why a study on Romanian Products?
The Preference for Romanian Products study comes in the context of the Centenary year, an opportunity for entrepreneurs in Romania to reflect on the changes of the last 100 years.
Although the Centenary primarily means celebrating an act of political and social fulfillment, it is a good opportunity for each of us, regardless of personal and professional aspirations, to evaluate ourselves, look back, but especially toward the future.
In 100 years, the lifestyle of Romanians has changed, which is natural. Day by day, each of us has redefined, through the choices made, what it means to live the Romanian way.
Therefore, we aimed to find out if Romanians have a preference for Romanian products when they go shopping, which are the most beloved Romanian brands, and what criteria they consider when standing in front of the shelf.
What will you learn from the study presentation?
Corina will present the most important results of the study:
- What the Romanians’ shopping basket contains;
- Purchase locations for Romanian products;
- Preferred types of Romanian products;
- Favorite Romanian brands;
- Budget allocated for Romanian-branded products;
- Local versus imported products.
