MKOR Consulting has conducted an analysis on consumer openness toward the idea of supporting disadvantaged individuals and communities by purchasing products from social enterprises.

The resulting report shows Romanians’ openness toward supporting social causes.

Respondents

The report is based on the responses of 281 end consumers and 80 legal entities, who were surveyed on their willingness to purchase products from social enterprises, even at a higher price.

The respondents were 59% women and 41% men, most of them aged between 18-35.

Social categories are balanced within the selected sample: 50% have higher education (university and postgraduate), and 44% have secondary education (high school and post-secondary).

What will you learn from the report?

  1. Would end consumers be willing to pay more for products or services coming from social enterprises?
  2. If so, how much? If not, why?
  3. What is the perception of business clients regarding social enterprises?
  4. Do they differentiate between a social enterprise and other types of organizations when it comes to suppliers?
