The Homeschooling in Romania study was conducted by MKOR Consulting between September 19 and 22, following the announcement by the couple Dana Nălbaru and Dragoș Bucur that they would be homeschooling their daughter.

Our objective was to explore parents’ motivations and attitudes toward this type of education, without analyzing the penetration of homeschooling among the Romanian population (which, by all indications, is too small to be statistically relevant).

Study Objectives

The study, conducted online, led to a series of at least interesting conclusions regarding this highly controversial type of education. The study was carried out between September 19 and 22, 2016, in the form of an online opinion poll, with a total of 1,710 respondents.
